If you haven’t already done this, it’s definitely one of our easy Christmas Eve activities that we surprise our son with at bedtime. Our town has a specific residential neighborhood that goes all out. Throughout the month, we scope out the best areas for lights. One of our favorite Christmas Eve activities is a Christmas lights drive around town. Of course there is a small prize for the winner. Everyone collects as many candy canes as possible. Set up a Candy Cane Christmas hunt! When friends come over, we have a huge candy cane hunt.

I also like to add fixings for a special hot chocolate and a movie watching snack. My son also loves the movie Rise of the Guardians. This year we have included Jack Frost (The Guardians of Childhood). Our Christmas Eve box also includes a new a book either Christmas or Winter themed. This year we are adding A Charlie Brown Christmas movie since our son enjoyed the Charlie Brown movie released this year. Our Christmas Eve box usually includes a new Christmas movie to add to our collection. We also do a Christmas Eve box early on in the day so that we can thoroughly enjoy what’s inside.
